ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN YOUR FORMULAS SAFE?

We vet each of our ingredients for safety based on available scientific data from the EWG (EWG= Environmental Working Group. A non-profit, non-partisan organization with a mission to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment). As well, all of our products:

• Are Tested for Stability (they maintain their quality over time)
• Are Tested for Tolerability (they do not irritate skin)
• Are Dermatologist-Tested

ARE THE FRAGRANCES IN YOUR PRODUCTS NATURAL?

Our fragrances are made with what we call ‘safe synthetics’. The reason we do not use natural fragrances is because many of them are considered allergens and can irritate skin. We have extensive criteria for safety of our fragrances, and ensure that they always:

• Meet IFRA safe standards (IFRA= the official self-regulatory representative body of the fragrance industry worldwide. Its main purpose is to ensure the safety of fragrance materials through a dedicated science program. IFRA has a list of 180+ ingredients that aren’t permitted in fragrance or have maximum levels of allowance based on safety data. It is not required for brands to adhere to their standards but we choose to in order to ensure the highest level of safety)
• Are tested to confirm they do not irritate skin at the levels used in the formulas
• Are formulated without ingredients that are known to be unsafe

WHAT SKIN TYPES ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR?

Our products are dermatologist-tested and formulated for all skin types.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?

All of our products are allergy-tested and non-irritating. Please check the ingredient listings if you have specific allergies, try a patch test, and, as always, consult your doctor before using our products if you have any major concerns.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE TO USE WHILE PREGNANT OR NURSING?

While we did not test our products on pregnant women, all of our products are tested for safety and do not contain any harsh or potentially harmful ingredients. We recommend consulting with your doctor before introducing any new products or ingredients into your routine while pregnant or nursing.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN AND CRUELTY-FREE?

Yes, all of our products are both vegan and cruelty-free.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SUSTAINABLE?

Our bottles are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, but that’s just the start. As we grow, we will continue to evaluate new sustainability opportunities for our packaging and beyond.

HOW CAN I RECYCLE THE PRODUCT PACKAGING?

Recycling guidelines vary by municipality. If you're unsure what yours are, we recommend rinsing the bottle, removing the pump and label, and placing it with the rest of your plastics recycling.  

WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE?

Our products are made in the USA at cGMP facility (cGMPs= established standards that regulate how manufacturers design, monitor, and control the manufacturing process. Compliance with cGMPS prevent process contaminations, errors, and low-quality product manufacturing).

Our goal is to continue to launch the everyday essentials you need on an ongoing basis. CAUSES

THE CAUSES WE SUPPORT OVER TIME WILL FOCUS ON SOCIAL IMPACT.  WHAT EXACTLY IS SOCIAL IMPACT?

Social impact refers to the effect or influence that an individual, organization, program, project, or initiative has on the well-being, development, and overall quality of life of individuals, communities, and society as a whole. It involves bringing about positive changes, addressing societal challenges, and creating lasting improvements in various aspects of people's lives

THE ORGANIZATIONS WE SUPPORT WILL BE FOCUSED ‘UPSTREAM’. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Addressing social issues upstream refers to taking proactive and preventive measures to tackle the root causes of those issues, rather than simply dealing with their immediate consequences. This approach involves identifying and addressing the underlying factors that contribute to social problems, with the goal of preventing these problems from arising in the first place.

FOR EACH CAUSE WE SUPPORT, WE WILL DONATE TO SEVERAL GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS. WHY?

Grassroots organizations play a critical role in effecting positive change within their communities. By starting locally, listening to community voices, and taking action with a ‘boots on the ground’ approach, they can drive meaningful impact that ripples outward and contributes to larger social, economic, and cultural transformations. We donate to several grassroots organizations with each cause to ensure our impact is as wide-reaching as possible.

HOW ARE OUR DONATIONS + EVERYDAY ACTIONS REALLY GOING TO HELP?

We believe that the cumulative impact of easy, everyday actions can set in motion a chain reaction that extends beyond their initial scope. The small steps we take, whether they involve ‘micro-volunteering’ or making modest donations, have the potential to trigger a series of positive outcomes. As these actions resonate and influence others, they create a broader and more profound effect that contributes to positive changes in our communities. That’s what you call Public Spirit.

WHY DON'T YOU DONATE PRODUCTS?

We believe that monetary donations are a much more powerful way to create change at the root (ie where the problems our communities start). While product donations are also great, they address the ‘effect’ of inequities versus the ‘cause’.

We charge a flat-rate shipping fee of $7.99 for any order below $35.

All orders should arrive within 5-8 business days—if you’ve been waiting longer than that, please check the tracking number in your shipment notification, or contact us at info@publicspiritco.com and we’ll be glad to help you find it.

WHAT'S YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We put a lot of care into creating our products, and we’re confident you will love them! If for some reason you are not satisfied, please contact us within 30 days of purchase at info@publicspiritco.com and we will help you create an exchange or return.

ONCE I PLACE MY ORDER, CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL IT?

If you have made an error entering your shipping address or need to change an order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@publicspiritco.com and we will be happy to assist you.

WHAT IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED?
